Another friend :iconnephinator: (he has recently started a DA account so we can see each other's results after we been out) and I go out every Monday, unfortunately he could not make this day out due to family commitments. He and I are learning together it is great having support and ideas and a friend to join in with it is a lot more fun.

Sent you a link to week last Mondays outing on FB

Thank you on his behalf. We will be out next Monday. We have no solid plans what or where we will go as yet but we usually work that out over the weekend, and have two or more suggestions in the bag depending on the weather.

I know at some time we are going to do churches, stone work (angels, gargoyles and suchlike).

We try to have a subject matter or a technical aim before we go out.

:iconnephinator: was reading an article about subject matter, and it was saying to have a aim, so you are not just randomly photographing things ( it didn't say once you are out not to do that as well). Two examples of what was mentioned, was chose a subject like 'Red Objects' or work your way through the alphabet. The purpose of doing this is to be more selective about subject matter and photograph things you would not normally photograph, By doing this you will have to alter your perspective in viewing and shooting the subject as some may be alien to you. Therefore it changes your objectives not just looking for nice shots, you find the subject and you will have to work harder at photographing it, something's you probably would never have of chosen as a subject under normal circumstances.

This in effect this should improve your technical ability, as each subject becomes a new challenge and has to be approached differently.
